Information on the processing of personal data of website users

The aim of Cerved Information Solutions S.p.A. (hereinafter also referred to as “Cerved”) in this section is to describe the treatment methods for the personal data of users viewing or accessing the website company.cerved.com (hereinafter also referred to as the “Website”). This disclosure refers solely to that Website and not to any other websites that may be accessed by the user via links (for which reference should be made to their respective disclosures and policies).
The IT systems and software procedures used to run the Website automatically acquire certain data, as part of normal operations, regarding web browsing, the transmission of which is implicit in the use of web communications protocols. This data, which is not gathered for association with any persons identified, but rather for its nature, could - through association and processing with data held by third parties, allow the identification of users. Falling into this category is data relating to IP addresses, domain names of the computers used by users accessing the website, URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) strings of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the web server, the size of the response file, the numeric code indicating the reply status given by the web server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the user’s operating system and IT environment. This data is used solely to gather statistics in anonymous format on the use of the Website and to monitor its correct operation.
What are cookies?
Browsing this website requires the acceptance of cookies, short strings of text that websites accessed send to the user’s browser (Chrome, Explorer, Mozilla, etc.) where they are saved and later uploaded back to those same websites when they are accessed again. Third-party profiling cookies
Through a number of pages on this Website, it is also possible that a user’s browser will receive third-party profiling cookies, for example to allow the display of content hosted on external platforms and to interact with them (e.g. YouTube) or linked to Google’s AdWords service (designed to allow users to see ads during browsing that are based on websites previously accessed). TREATMENT METHODS AND COMMUNICATIONS ENVIRONMENT
In order to perform the activities mentioned above, the personal data can be known to appointed Cerved personnel, in the departments created to provide data and web services, and will also be treated via digital processes and electronic communications systems, protected by suitable security and confidentiality measures, as well as using methods and logic consistent with the end purpose and for the storage time strictly necessary to comply with contractual and legal obligations. Personal data acquired in this way will not be disseminated but can be communicated to authorised public entities and authorities for compliance with regulatory obligations or to ascertain liability in the event of cyber crimes committed to the detriment of the website. Furthermore, the browsing data can be treated for the additional purpose of improving and developing Cerved web services. Access to web services and reserved areas of the website is permitted to registered users, enabled on the basis of personal access credentials. The reproduction or use of pages, materials and information contained on the website, by any means or on any media, is not permitted without specific prior written authorisation from Cerved and in cases other than those envisaged in the Terms governing Cerved services. RIGHTS OF USERS
The user as interested party can, at any time, exercise his or her rights as envisaged in the Privacy Code (art. 7, Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003). Specifically, the interested party can request access to his or her personal data held by Cerved, be informed of how it is treated, arrange updates, additions and corrections - if inexact or incomplete, request the cancellation or blocking if treated in violation of the law, and object to its treatment for legitimate reasons or, in any event, when used for commercial, promotional or advertising purposes.
